.	Eight Bells Peter Packer, OAM Peter Packer, OAM, founder of a Western Australian dynasty of ocean racing yachtsmen and the first WA yachtsman to win the Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, has died while holidaying in Rome, aged 86.

Three of the Langman family shared the honour of sailing the last boat to the finish line in the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia’s 2011 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, crossing the finish line at 4.48pm late this afternoon in the time of five days 3hr 48min 22sec.

Mille Sabords
Mille Sabords has been owned by Stephane Howarth since May last year and has successfully competed in the Sydney 38 class association championships by her previous owners. Howarth was the first women skipper to cross the line in last year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart and was thus awarded the Jane Tate Memorial Trophy and finished fourth in the Sydney 38 Division.
