Joanne Brodie
Another ubiquitous “Seabird.“ this fine yacht has already proved her hard weather ability and general endurance by winning the last Montague Island Race, always a good testing ground for the Hobart Race that follows. Owner Ron Hobson. popular Vice-Commodore of the CYCA previously owned the successful “Ripple.” and is a man renowned for his hard-driving capabilities. "Joanne Brody." only launch this year in Sydney. has a lower rating than the other “Seabirds” as a result of a slightly modified rig, and if the conditions are at all hard. she should 36 amongst the place-getters. She is a yacht worth following very closely.
