Secret Men's Business #1

Secret Men's Business #1

Secret Mens Business #1 was designed by Iain Murray and built in 1996 by Bolton Yachts in Adelaide for original owner Geoff Boettcher.  It competed up and down the east and south coast of Australia with its best result being a third in division in the 2003 Rolex Sydney Hobart.

SMB was overhauled in 2002 with a new MBD keel and swept spreader carbon rig with short footed headsails and optimised again in 2003 for IRC racing.  The current owners bought the boat in November and have already finished on the podium including 2nd in Division 1 of this year’s Coffs Harbour Series and 2nd in IRC and 1st PHS in the Bird Island Race this season.  They have also added a 1.5m bow pole to the boat, which now sails out of the RPAYC in Pittwater.
