Audi Centre Melbourne

Audi Centre Melbourne

Audi Centre Melbourne was built in 2007 and is a Corby 49 based at the Sandringham Yacht Club.  Raced previously under the name Flirt, owner Chris Dare re-launched her in January 2008 and modified the boat in May 2008.  Since the modifications, the boat's performance has improved including IRC wins in the 2009 ORCV Melbourne Winter Series and Melbourne Geelong Race.

Some of her other ocean racing results include 4th in IRC Racing Division at the 2008 Meridien Marinas Airlie Beach Race Week, second in Audi Top of the Bay Regatta; and 1st (line honours and IRC) in the Queenscliff to Apollo Bay race.

This is an upgraded version of the previous Flirt, which was very successful under IRC over the past two years.  After a very successful 2007/08 summer together owner Chris Dare has again teamed up with Roger Hickman.  Paul Meilhat joins the crew after finishing second overall (Rookie Division) in the 2009 Le Figaro single handed.
