Crossbow arrived in Australia in May this year from Mamaronek, New York. Jointly owned by Dawn Murray and David Cutcliffe, representing Balmain Sailing Club, she will be crewed by family and friends. Crossbow arrived in Australia in the middle of this year after a competitive beginning with successes in one-design, IRC and PHRF results on the East Coast of the USA. She'll be racing to Hobart with a crew that are well used to being underdogs. Alex Brandon, owner of the Farr 1020 Zephyr, [07 Division winner and overall contender in 07 & 09 races]. For Crossbow owner David Cutcliffe this will be his 5th race south. David was onboard Zephyr in the 07 & 09 Rolex Sydney to Hobarts. Cutcliffe and joint owner/skipper David Stenhouse crewed onboard a divisional win on Lloyds Business Brokers Too Impetuous in the 2009 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. Alan Clark, Troy Fortune, Tony Bailey, Murray Baker bring a range of experience to the boat for what will be their first race to Hobart. Recent recruit Colin Bloomfield will be joining the team for what will be his 22nd Rolex Sydney to Hobart. All of the crew are Balmain locals who regularly compete together and against one-another at the Balmain Sailing Club.
