Bounty Brassware Our Rush

Bounty Brassware Our Rush

Successful multihull sailor and Queensland Offshore Sailor of the Year, Drew Carruthers, has won every offshore race contested recently with his self-designed and built 15m catamaran, RUSHOUR, including line honours in the 2018 Groupama 600 and the 2019 Pittwater to Paradise race, and OMR first place in the 2019 Brisbane to Gladstone. However, the Queenslander crosses to the light side now and again, such as crewing Maserati for Giovanni Soldini in the 2015 Rolex Sydney Hobart and winning Division 2 of the Brisbane to Keppel race in 2015 in his last mono, Runaway, a Sayer 11. He has taken possession of the former Dekadence and renamed her Bounty Brassware OUR RUSH. His first major race with her was the inaugural Brisbane to Hamilton Island race and they finished second in Division 2.

This boat has been campaigned strongly up and down the east coast over the years, including by original owner, Victorian Phil Coombs, who placed 10th in the 2004 Rolex Sydney Hobart and 19th in 2005, Tasmanian David Creese, who scored 21st in 2009 and Victorian Ken Simpson, who sailed her to 54th in 2012.
