Loki was launched in December 2008 – just one week prior to the start of the Rolex Sydney Hobart.  She was built by McConaghy Boats for Stephen Ainsworth whose previous 63’ Loki was wrecked during the 2007 Rolex Middle Sea Race.  Designed with a conventional bulb keel, she is a lot wider than the previous boat and has a long bow pole for asymmetric spinnakers.  Loki has performed strongly in every race she has been entered into including podium finishes in Skandia Docklands Invitational (1st), Skandia Geelong IRC Division 1 (3rd), and Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta (3rd).  Loki recently took the trifecta in the Audi Sydney Offshore Newcastle Yacht Race of line honours, IRC overall win and new race record.  She also finished second over the line in the Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race 2009 to Wild Oats X and is actively participating in the CYCA’s Blue Water Pointscore Series.
