Wild Oats XI

In her Rolex Sydney Hobart Race debut, this state-of-the-art 98-footer with canting ballast twin (CBTF) took line honours in record time and won the Tattersalls Cup with 1st Overall under IRC handicap – the only boat to take the trifecta since Rani in the first race in 1945.  Wild Oats XI contested the 2006 Rolex Maxi World Championship in Sardinia placing 3rd to arch rival Alfa Romeo, and has returned to attempt the rare feat of back-to-back line honours wins in the Hobart Race.  Outstanding crew line up includes America's Cup sailor Robbie Naismith, navigator Adrienne Cahalan preparing for her 16th Rolex Sydney Hobart, a record for a woman, America's Cup helmsman Iain Murray and Etchells Olympian and world champion Steve Jarvin.
