Since acquiring the yacht in December 2006, CYCA Ocean Racing Rookie of the Year for 2008 Kym Butler and his crew, including CYCA Crewman of the year Tony Purkiss, have contested most of the long races on the NSW coast including the Audi Sydney Gold Coast in 2007 and 2008 - finishing fourth and fifth in their division respectively; Audi Sydney Offshore Newcastle Yacht Race in 2008 and 2009 – finishing third in IRC Division 3, Pittwater-Coffs Harbour 2008, Gosford-Lord Howe Island 2008 (3rd on IRC) and Rolex Sydney Hobart 2008. One for the Road sails out of Newcastle Harbour with the Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club where she was IRC offshore point-score winner last summer.  Kym and the crew have been steadily improving and are hoping for a podium finish in their division.
