The winners, placegetters and milestone achievers were celebrated at the prizegiving ceremonies on 31 December 2021 and 1 January 2022.
88 yachts were on the start lines on Sydney Harbour on Boxing Day, with 50 making it to the finish line in Hobart as tough conditions on the first two days of racing led to a raft of retirements.
The endeavour of all who started this great 628 nautical mile challenge was admired worldwide.
"This has been a good, traditional, tough, Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race," said Noel Cornish AM, Commodore of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia.
"From having to battle the difficult weather and seas of the opening two days, to having to tactically navigate the light winds and weather transitions on the Tasmanian coast and the Derwent River, this year's finishers have triumphed over these adverse conditions and are truly deserving of their place in this race's history."
Step aboard The Jackson, Sydney's most luxurious charter superyacht — and the only public spectator vessel positioned inside the Exclusion Zone for the start of the Hobart.
