"Cassandra" was designed by Ron Swanson and built by Lidgard Yachts in 1968. She is a sister ship of "Cadence" and was 8th in the 1969 Auckland- Suva race and competed in the 1971 Whangarei-Noumea Race after completing a lengthy cruise to the Barrier Reef.
