Morning Matilda
A design from Sparkman and Stephens, known as the S&S. 34 built by Swarbrick Brothers in Perth in Glass Reinforced Plastic. A sister-ship, "Morning Cloud" won the Sydney-Hobart Race in 1969. "Morning Matilda" was launched in December, 1970, and had immediate success, gaining 1st in Division 2 of the Queenscliff to Devenport Race.
