This yacht was designed and built by John Spencer and launched in 1970. She is constructed of two skins of plywood and sheathed in fibreglass. "Savant" has won line honours in the Wellington-Gisborne Race, 4th Wellington-Melson Race and 4th in the 1.O.R. Bing Harris Trophy.
