Renegade

Renegade has competed in five Rolex Sydney Hobarts since being built by owner Bob Francis in 1981, her best result a 2nd in division in the 1990 race.  Renegade last competed in the stormy 1998 Sydney Hobart when she, along with the majority of the fleet, failed to finish the 628 nautical mile passage.

Making a welcome return to Australia’s premier blue water classic, Renegade has been anything but idle over the years, competing in the RSAYS’s inshore and offshore events including the Adelaide to Port Lincoln Race, where she finished second overall this year and last and in the Premier’s Cup, where she has achieved numerous place finishes.
