Tilting at Windmills, designed as a comfortable cruiser/racer and built in timber, achieved remarkable success in the 2003 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race when she finished 2nd overall in the IMS division.
Whilst the boat has competed in five Rolex Sydney Hobarts and several West Coasters, owner Gunnersen has also spent time cruising, including circumnavigating New Zealand’s South Island. As a lead-up to this year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart, Tilting at Windmills raced to Lord Howe Island.
