Owned by a syndicate of 26 owners who make up the longstanding Canberra Ocean Racing Club, the Bavaria 44 Namadgi is the club’s seventh yacht.  Namadgi competes offshore every second year and cruises the alternate years and this year the boat was declared the PHS overall winner of the July Audi Sydney Gold Coast and contested the Gosford to Lord Howe Race.  The crew has to travel from Canberra to Pittwater on Sydney’s northern beaches to prepare the boat for these major ocean races.
