Lloyds Brokers - Too Impetuous

Too Impetuous was built in 1981 specifically for the 1983 Admirals Cup. Since then she has competed in most blue water classics including the inaugural Hamilton Island Race Week, placing 2nd. Since then she has operated as a sail training boat, with quite a few people coming up and saying they (or someone they know) has raced on her and then proceed to reminisce.
In 2002 Rudy Weber found the Holland 43 up near Tin Can Bay where it was hardly being used and become neglected.  After years of work, Too Impetuous has been restored slowly and steadily and in 2006 made her ocean racing comeback in the Brisbane to Gladstone Race. With a win in the Veterans class,  3rd in division and 6th overall PHS, the “old girl” proved she still had it.  Rudy says: “She is like a classic Ferrari, you keep throwing money at her,  but it is well worth it”.  Although a little slower by the pace of today’s new maxis, she is still exciting and a pleasure to sail.
