Obsession

Obsession is a modified Sydney 38 that is owned by a syndicate of  five of its regular offshore sailors. They have put together an experienced crew that has been sailing together for over six years. Since the boat’s launch in 2000 she has completed many ocean races including 5 Sydney Hobart Yacht races (four under charter arrangements), 8 Sydney Gold Coast races, 4 Sydney Mooloolaba and 2 Gosford Lord Howe Island Races.

The syndicate purchased the boat two years ago and this will be the first race south as a syndicate in its modified version with a bow sprit and asymmetrical masthead kites.
