The name Terra Firma lives on with an optimized Sydney 47. A very determined and experienced crew lead by Nicholas Bartels has been sailing hard and smart and competing in the Audi Hamilton Island Race Week and MHYC's SORC and will compete in the Rolex Series leading up to the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. The original Terra Firma was a top performing racer from 1995 to 2006 when she was a Murray 41. In 2007, the name was transferred to a Sydney 47. The new boat outpaced rival Sydney 47s in a CYCA regatta in late October.
