Dawn Star
Dawn Star, an IRC racer cruiser, was recently sailed from San Diego to Sydney by William N. Hubbard IV who, along with his father, William N. Hubbard III, was the overall winner of the 2006 Newport Bermuda Centennial Race on their sloop Lively Lady II. They originally planned to bring Lively Lady II to Australia for the Sydney Hobart Race, until she was heavily damaged in a storm in the fall of 2009. Dawn Star is her successor. Michael Lawson, their Bermuda Race navigator, is flying in from London for the race as well as a crew from both England and the United States.
