PACA was launched in 2009 and competed in her first Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race last year. PACA stands for Provence Alpes Côte d’ Azure, where the owner originates from. The primary goal of PACA’s crew is to compete in offshore races with a key focus on the Rolex Sydney Hobart, with the boat being optimized for offshore races while staying within an amateur budget. Its 10 crew which boasts five nationalities amongst them are coming from different offshore racing and cruising experiences. Philippe Péché the sailing master has a prestigious yachting career and won in 2005 the Jules Verne Trophy around the world in 50 days and 16 hours.
