Pretty Fly III
Pretty Fly III is a new boat for Colin and Gladys Woods, replacing their well campaigned Beneteau 47.7. This canting keel Cookson 50 is a step up in performance for this experienced crew with the crew learning a lot about the boat in a relatively short period of time.
Pretty Fly III finished sixth in IRC Divison 0 of last year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart and 30th in the testing of the ORCi rating that was run parallel to the IRC rating system. In the Audi Sydney Offshore Newcastle Yacht Race in March this year, Pretty Fly III finished 6th across the line, fifth in IRC Division 0/1 and first in ORCi division and followed this up with a second in ORCi division of the Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race in August.
