Bill Wild’s new yacht Rodd & Gunn Wedgetail, is the well known ex Yendys. The former Yendys owned by Geoff Ross,is a custom Reichel/Pugh 55, that has an impressive racing record that includes placings in the Rolex Trophy Series, the Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race and a sixth in IRC Division 1 in the 2009 Rolex Sydney Hobart, 6th IRC overall and 1st in Division 1 in the 2006 Hobart and 3rd in Division 1 in the 2007 Rolex Sydney Hobart.
Bill has retained a number of the Yendys crew – including New Zealanders Rob Salthouse, Stu Molloy, Kieran Cowan, Jeff Scott and Cam Marshall; and added crew from his previous Wedgetail, the Welbourn 42, which had a strong offshore race record, including 6th overall in the 2005 Rolex Sydney Hobart and wins and places in all the major offshore races.
