Recently purchased by Jonathan Stone, this 34-footer from Melbourne took out overall first place under the IOR handicap system in the rugged 1988 Sydney Hobart, then Victoria’s second only overall win in the ocean racing classic. Returning last year to the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race after a 22 year break, Illusion was the third last boat to cross the finish line and finished fifth in her division.
