One For The Road

This A40 replaces the Northshore 370 of the same name raced by Kym Butler and his Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club crew in most of the major east coast races over the last few years.  The crew travelled to Sydney to sail in the Audi Winter Series to warm up for this year's Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, which was the first race of the yacht's 2011-2012 campaign.  The core of Kym's NS370 team plus a few new faces are on board for this race.

Kym Butler was named the CYCA Ocean Racing Rookie of the Year in 2008.  In his previous NS370, Butler finishing fourth & fifth in their division respectively in  the Audi Sydney Gold Coast in 2007 and 2008; placed third in IRC Division 3 of Audi Sydney Offshore Newcastle Yacht Race in 2009; and competed in the Pittwater-Coffs Harbour 2008, Gosford-Lord Howe Island 2008 (3rd on IRC) and Rolex Sydney Hobart 2008 & 2009.
