Nautical Circle

Nautical Circle contested her first Rolex Sydney Hobart in 2010, but suffered the disappointment of retiring. This year she is competing in the the CYCA’s Blue Water Pointscore Series, and place 20th overall and ninth in Division 3 of the Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, the series opener. Missed the next two races, but Ian Prentice took her to the Whitsundays after the Gold Coast race (after implementing a rigorous rebuilding program focusing on continual innovation and crew development) and competed at Audi Hamilton Island Race Week, and placed eighth in IRC Passage Division 2.

Returning to the BWPS in November with the Cabbage Tree Island race, Prentice finished 12th on IRC and 13th on IRC in the Port Hacking Bird Island Race in early December. An Archambault 40, she should revel when given the chance to stretch her legs in the upcoming Hobart race and will have some good in house racing with the other A40’s entered.

Under the keen guidance of skipper Prentice, the Nautical Circle crew are excited to participate in the iconic Hobart race and hope to impress come Boxing Day.
