Apsaras was launched in May 2015 from Pesaro, Italy. The yacht is representing the Shenzhen Seven Star Yacht Club, owned by Hong Kong Businessman Li Jian who had a dream of experiencing sailing around the world and competing in major events. After her launch, Apsaras competed and won the 2015 Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC). In 2016 she sailed in the BVI to Bermuda race with a great result, after which the team moved on to the Kings Cup Regatta in 2017. This year Apsaras has sailed to Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and will be joined in Sydney by crew from China, Philippines and highly regarded skipper Travis Read. Following the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race the team will continue to travel around the world to promote Chinese culture.
