It’s very easy to use the word iconic but Helsal 3 certainly fits in this category. She has been in the ocean racing scene around Australia for over 30 years. Designed by Joe Adams but over the years has had some upgrades to the keel, rudder, mast and rigging. The 2018 crew includes an eclectic group of sailors, some local experienced sailors and two from overseas. Helsal 3 has a strong training program and culture with a view to give the best opportunity to our offshore sailors both experienced and new comers. “The Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race is the highlight event of our 2018 campaign and we look forward to the challenges and awards of what is known as the great race,” said skipper David Stephenson.
