Wax Lyrical

Wax Lyrical is a Danish design X 50 cruiser/racer, built for owner Les Goodridge who previously owned and raced the famous timber eight-metre Erica J. Most of the crew have sailed together for some years, with a small sprinkling of youth. Wax Lyrical aims to take a Youth Sailing Academy member on their first Hobart each year and encourages women in sailing with girls comprising around half the regular crew.  A Corinthian team, they finished last year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart in eighth on PHS and the 2018 Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race in fifth place.
