Arch Rival
Arch Rival is an Inglis design optimised by Don Jones. Her owner, Steve Connors, sailed her to ninth PHS in 2017, and had her entered last year with Felicity Nelson (23 Hobarts) and Alex Seja (16 Hobarts) taking over the boat with Connors’ daughter Lauren aboard, but they withdrew to resolve some boat issues. Nelson, in particular, was devastated, as it denied her sailing her 25th race this year. Instead it will be her 24th. Arch Rival finished 36th in ORCI in the 2019 Noakes Sydney Gold Coast race. In October, finished PHS third and ORCi 13th in the Newcastle Bass Island Race. Nelson, Seja and Connors are looking forward to making the start this year. The boat was originally Rouseabout III when owned by Victorian John Rouse.
