Banter

Launched in February 2009, this is the former Carbon Credits which was introduced to offshore racing in the 2009 Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, finishing 11th in IRC Division 3, when owned by NSW yachtsman Trevor Bailey. He did just one Rolex Sydney Hobart with it, in 2012, and finished 44th overall. Queensland yachtsman, Jake, is the current owner and races the Beneteau First 45 he renamed Banter in local races out of Sunshine Coast Yacht Club. Since owning Banter Jake has Raced in the 2019 Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race and the inaugural Brisbane To Hamilton Island Yacht Race. Banter will have some keen competition with some other Beneteau 45s in the fleet; Audere, Black Sheep, Dreki Sunnan, Highly Sprung and Scamp.
