Great Xpectations

This will be Great Xpectations third Rolex Sydney Hobart following her retirement in 2015. In that race Wills ran a campaign to raise funds for The Garvan Institute of Medical Research. Great Xpectations raised 85K from Corporations and Individuals which funded research into the genome sequencing of Prostate Cancer. Rod Wills has raced her regularly at major events over the past few years and she has a few trophies in the cabinet to prove it; for top three placings in the Gosford- Lord Howe Island, Pittwater-Coffs and Sydney-Gold Coast races, the City of Sydney Cup and the CYCA’s Ocean Pointscore Series, going back as far as 2004. This year, Wills trekked north to SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week and is a regular at events such as the Sydney Harbour Regatta and the CYCA’s 2014/2015 OPS. Their entry into this historic 75th Sydney Hobart is a unique opportunity in the history of Ocean Racing as some of the crew have been racing together for over 20 years.
