Last year was Matrix’s first Rolex Sydney Hobart and she finished a good 34th overall, capping off a solid 2018 season, which included cleaning up at Hamilton Island Race Week and finishing third overall in the Brisbane Gladstone Race. Queensland business owner, Graham Furtado, has been enticed back to the race where he and the crew of this X-41, who usually race locally, will be aiming to better their Rolex Sydney Hobart finish this year. They are excited about returning for the challenge and have been sailing in Queensland races and regattas to prepare for the 628 nautical mile race in its 75th year.
