Rod Smallman sailed Maverick, a Jeanneau Sun Fast 3600, to a brilliant third overall in the 2018 Melbourne Osaka double-handed yacht race, with his son Tyson. Maverick will continue to be raced double-handed and fully crewed throughout this sailing season in Victoria as she prepares for the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. Maverick normally races locally and this is her fourth ocean racing season.
