Protagonist

This Beneteau First 40 has been recently purchased by Nick Foa who has allowed his crew skippered by David Stoopman to race this year’s 75th Sydney Hobart. Based out of Melbourne, the crews first race on the boat was the Melbourne qualifier, the Melbourne to Stanley Race. Protagonist has been regularly raced on the Derwent River in Tasmania by the previous owner. This will be Protagonist’s maiden Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, and like others, she chose the 75th race to make her debut. She will have others of the same design to gauge her performance against, including Blink, HYC Breakthrough, Mayfair, Navy One and Wicked, not to mention others of a similar ilk.
