Sintara was previously owned by Gordon Anderson who raced her at the CYCA for 14 years before Peter Mumford bought and renamed her Carte Blanche. South Australian, Derek Morrison, bought her just before Christmas in 2017 and gave the Beneteau 47.7 her original name back. The intention is to use her for a mix of racing and cruising. This will be the pair’s first Rolex Sydney Hobart and they should enjoy good in-house competition with the other same design boats in the race, plus others of a similar size.
