Hartbreaker
Owned by cardiologist Tony Walton, Hartbreaker is a 46-foot Reichel Pugh based at the Royal Brighton Yacht Club in Melbourne, Victoria which has successfully campaigned the last six consecutive Rolex Sydney Hobarts.
Originally built as 'Hardys Secret Mens Business 2' in 2004, and previously known as 'Shamrock', she has been campaigned as Hartbreaker since 2013, based on the HART marine built boat that was somewhat ‘broken’ in separate incidents at (and on the way back from) Hamilton Island in 2008, along with Tony’s professional interest in hearts.
After finishing 29th across the line, Hartbreaker placed 80th overall in the 75th Sydney Hobart in 2019. She was 43rd in 2018; after placing 55th in 2017, 67th in 2016, 41st in 2015 and 66th in 2014. Hartbreaker and this years Corinthian race crew can’t wait to get back out onto the blue water and open seas after spending the past two years mostly under covid lockdowns and restrictions in Melbourne.
Other notable past results include line honours in the ORCV Melbourne to King Island Yacht Race in 2017-2019, first on PHS in Division 1 at the 2016 Port Lincoln Regatta, and she won the Racing/Cruising Division at Hamilton Island Race Week in 2015.
