Avalanche (TH)

This is a third Rolex Sydney Hobart and third owner for Avalanche. The Hick 40 was launched in 2015 for Hugh Ellis and Gary Caulfield, and contested the Hobart that year with the designer, Robert Hick, aboard. She retired with hull damage. James Murchison, of Abracadabra fame, will now sail her in the Two-Handed Division with his long-time crew, James Francis. The two did many Hobarts on Murchison’s Abracadabra, including their last in 2019.
