Cinnamon Girl - Eden Capital (TH)

Cian McCarthy and Sam Hunt will be one of only a handful of international entrants heading south this year.  The two-handed crew will be chartering  a Sunfast 3300, bringing their own sails and bow sprit from Ireland for the event.  Whilst it be Cian MacCarthy’s first Rolex Sydney Hobart, he will bring a wealth of experience to the event, having competed in the mini transat, Clipper Round the World Race as well as many Commodores and Admirals Cup.  Crewmember Sam Hunt, also has an extensive sailing background, having campaigned for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in the Men’s 470 class, as well as a number of other keelboat classes included the Farr 30, Melges and SB20s.  The pair won the 240nm Inishtearaght Race in 2022 and will be looking to take out the two-handed division in this year’s race.
