Audacious

South Australian Stuart Johnson has entered his Sydney 38, Audacious, which last competed in the race in 2019. The boat normally competes in South Australia, participating in events such as the Island Cup, Haystack Island Race, Orontes Race and the Adelaide Port Lincoln race.

Originally known as one of Bruce Taylor's Chutzpahs (No. 5), this yacht has a strong legacy in the Rolex Sydney Hobart, with Taylor racing her five times and achieving impressive results: fifth overall and second in division in 2002, fourth overall and second in division in 2003, 10th overall and third in division while winning the Sydney 38 division in 2004 and 27th overall and second in division in 2005. However, she retired from the 2006 race.

The yacht was later purchased by Greg Clinnick and Paul Holden, who renamed her Audacious.
