Pacman (DH)

Retiring from last year’s Hobart with runner damage was a blow to Peter Elkington and Scott Cavanough, though they went on to score third in the Noakes Sydney Gold Coast race’s DH division. Before sailing the Hobart DH with Cavanough in 2022 and placing 32nd for second in Division 3 and third in Dh division. Elkington, a top navigator, did his previous three Hobarts on Envy Scooters from 2017 to 2019, with a best result of sixth overall, after racing in Peter Harburg’s Black Jack team. Cavanough has solid shorthanded sailing credibility, including winning the 2014 T/H Class 40 Global Ocean Race. Pacman, a Young 11, is a good all-round performer. Pacman has had an extensive refresh including new appendages and a new rig.
