Bacchanal

Bacchanal

Brand new last December, this JPK 11.80, Bacchanal is named after Bacchus – the Roman god of wine, hedonism and joy. Owned by American Ron Epstein, Bacchanal retired after her boom broke in last year’s race, but in the lead-up, Epstein and crew produced some promising results, including third in the 2024 Cabbage Tree Island Race.

The yacht was built in Nowra, NSW - watched over by Epstein - and launched at the CYCA on 21 December, 2024. JPK yachts continue to win and place at major races around the world. Epstein is very comfortable on the podium too. In 2024, at the 28th Charleston Race Week and new to the Melges 20 class, he sailed Bacchanal to third and in June that year, aboard his J/133 for California Offshore Race Week Series - Coastal Cup, placed third in Division C.
