Ginan

New to the Hobart, Ginan has enjoyed a successful season sailing under ORC in ORCV events, placing first overall in the Apollo Bay and Devonport races and she has been ORCV’s Coastal Champion for the last three years under Nigel Jones and Cam McKenzie. The pair were named 2024 Australian Sailing Victorian Team of the Year, 2023/24 ORCV Offshore Champions and placed second overall in the 50^th and 51^st Melbourne to Hobart races.

The two have been friends since their twenties in 1990, They’ve sailed together for years, including 10 Sydney Hobarts, but this is the first yacht they’ve owned between them. Jones is the son of successful Australian yacht designer, Don Jones and the two have raced together and separately on Don’s Cadibarra’s in the past, with Nigel skippering both successfully, including being the sole finisher in the 1999 West Coaster.
