Highly Sprung

Mark Spring sailed Highly Sprung in the 2023 Sydney Hobart, her last race south. This year, he sailed the TP52 to fifth overall in September’s Flinders Islet Race, one of six yachts to finish inside the old race record and placed fifth again in October’s Tollgate Islands Race.

Spring, co-founder and an Executive Director of Pallas Capital, bought the former Stay Calm/Calm/ M3/M3 Hungary in June 2022 and renamed her Highly Sprung and mentors younger sailors as part of his sailing program. This year 7 CYCA Youth Sailing Academy graduates will be on board.

This TP52 arrived in Australia in 2009 and contested her first Hobart that year. She retired in 2010, was fifth in 2011 and 2012 - her best results so far – and raced as Stay Calm Hungary in 2019. Spring also raced his yacht in the 2022 Australian Yachting Championships and is a regular at TP52 events.
