Kanreki

Michael Rowe and Ben Martin have owned Kanreki since 2018 and took her to 32^nd overall and third in Division 3 in last year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart – her best Hobart result so far – and their first Hobart with the yacht. It was best known as About Time when owned by Julian Farren-Price and was almost unbeatable on the short ocean racing circuit.

She then did three Sydney Hobarts as Sail Exchange for Carl Crafoord. Kanreki is sailing the CYCA’s Audi Centre Sydney Blue Water Pointscore this year and finished the 2025 Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Race and Flinders Islet race with a fifth and sixth in division respectively. A Cookson 12 is yet to win the Sydney Hobart, but if the conditions are right for the smaller boats, this is the one that could.
