Kraken 42S

Mark Bayles skippered Kraken 42S to 35^th overall and fourth in Division 3 in the 2022 Rolex Sydney Hobart and returns for a tilt at the 80^th edition. Bayles does possess the goods, winning all three handicap categories in the 180 nautical mile Maria Island Race in 2022, sailed off the rugged south-east coast of Tasmania.

The Cookson 12, previously known as Pazazz and Grace O’Malley, has been racing in Tasmanian waters, competing in Launceston to Hobarts, Maria Islands and Bruny Island races. As Grace O’Malley for Zoe Taylor, the boat was 40^th in the 2017 Hobart after winning the Cabbage Tree Island Race. She placed ninth and won Division 3 in 2018.

Before that, Rob Drury bought the boat in 2012 when she known as Pazazz and contested the 2014, 2015 and 2016 Rolex Sydney Hobarts, winning Division 2 in 2016.
