Luna Blue
John Turnbull and David Watson last pointed Luna Blue south in the 2023 Rolex Sydney Hobart, but retired on the second day with damaged equipment, much to her owners’ disappointment, after placing sixth in PHS in 2021.
In April this year, the Beneteau First 45 placed 18th in PHS in the Pittwater to Coffs Harbour race, hosted by her club. Launched in 2008, Luna Blue was purchased out of Adelaide in 2020 and her new owners, plus five friends, had an exciting time sailing Luna Blue to her new home on Pittwater in NSW, giving them and the yacht a good run in.
Turnbull, Watson, Steve Kellaway and their loyal, longstanding crew have been having a great time on this First 45 after racing their previous yacht, the 40.7 Beneteau Reverie.
