Scarlet Runner

This is the 11^th Scarlet Runner for Robert Date, or “Another rampant Scarlet Runner climbing bean,” Date says. This latest is a Carkeek 43 offshore racing yacht. Scarlet Runner has been on the podium in all races she has contested, culminating in making her the 2024 SYC Club Champion.

Date last raced to Hobart in 2014 with the eighth Scarlett Runner, a Reichel/Pugh 52, which finished 28^th overall, however she scored eighth in 2011, won three Adelaide to Port Lincoln races and three Melbourne to King Island races. Based on this and that the fact this new boat now boat appears to be a real goer, the Victorian yachtsman should do well with her.
