The Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race 2009 will see an unprecedented gladiatorial contest for line honours as a result of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia’s decision to increase the overall length limit (LOA) of competing yachts from 98 to 100ft, or 30 to 30.48 metres.
