The Hobart Race Village will be open to welcome in the 2021 Rolex Sydney Hobart fleet, with some changes to previous years for the health and safety of all in attendance.

The Village is once again located at Constitution Dock from Monday 27 December 2021 - Saturday 1 January 2022.

Admission to the village is FREE.

There will be something for people of all ages to enjoy, including entertainment for kids, live music, the Devil’s Corner Bar and Q&As with some of the race’s great personalities.

Opening times

  • Monday 27 December 2021 - 1200-2300hrs
  • Tuesday 28 December 2021 - 0800-2300hrs
  • Wednesday 29 December 2021 - 0800-2300hrs
  • Thursday 30 December 2021 - 0800-2300hrs
  • Friday 31 December 2021 - 0800-0100hrs (NOTE: No public access to the Marina from 1800hrs - accreditation required)
  • Saturday 1 January 2022 - 0800-1700hrs

Staying COVIDSafe 

All patrons attending the village must be fully-vaccinated and are required to check in using the Check in Tas app. Download via Google Play or the Apple App Store.

Face masks must be worn at all times inside the Hobart Race Village, except when eating or drinking.

To allow physical distancing, capacity restrictions will be in place within the village.

Only accredited crew members and media will be permitted dockside. Family, friends and spectators can watch the boats arriving at Constitution Dock from the village.

What's on in the village

  • Big screen - The big screen in the village will be playing replays of the race start, action from the race and interviews with competitors.
  • Q&As on stage - Presenters Peter Gee and Peter Shipway will be hosting daily Q&As on stage in the village from 12-1pm. Listen to legends of the race and competitors as they finish.
  • Merchandise - Visit the Musto tent to pick up some official merchandise from the 2021 Rolex Sydney Hobart collection, including fleeces, tees, polos, caps, backpacks and more.
  • Food & drink - Enjoy a sumptuous selection of food and drink options from vendors including Flavours of Lebanon, Mamo Pasta, Coburg & Co, and much more. View the full list on the village page. 
  • Devil's Corner Bar - The Devil's Corner Bar is back at the Hobart Race Village. Try some of the Devil's Corner Resolution wines as you watch the boats pull in.
  • Entertainment - Be entertained every afternoon from 27 December - 1 January, with live music on stage and activities for kids. 

New Year's Eve

Only 2021 Rolex Sydney Hobart competitors are allowed on the marina for the New Year's Eve fireworks.

Accreditation is required for entry and masks must be worn.
